Abstract

The Seamless Supply Chain (SSC) represents a tough challenge for managing change in a global environment but it is a target within reach of well-organized and highly motivated enterprises. Twenty trans-European automotive sector value streams are analyzed in the paper via the concept of the Uncertainty Circle. We show that from this perspective some 10% of the sample are approaching the SSC ideal, but that some 50% are still way off.
